At Re Agency, I helped finesse a new typeface for Woolworths in collaboration with Type Atelier. We made posters, banners and instore mock-ups to show the typeface in context, as well as this type specimen to display the finer details.

Saddle Club is a queer line dancing community in Sydney who run weekly line dancing workshops and social parties. I had the privilege of designing their brand and first event poster.

A bit about me

One of the reasons I became a designer stems from the quote, “art speaks, posters yell,” and to put it simply, I’m more of a slam poet than a panelist. I'm also an imposter syndrome survivor and recovering perfectionist.

What's next

I studied at the University of Technology, Sydney, and since graduating, have worked as a content writer, art director and designer.

Skills

Branding & Logo Design

I've designed and delivered two full-scale branding packages as well as various smaller logos. At Re Agency, I tackled larger projects for clients like Woolworths and Everyday Rewards.

Art Direction

For a 2021 TV commercial for Software Skincare, I made storyboards, casting, creative concepts, title design and oversaw the colour grade. I've also led smaller scale product shoots, doing set design and styling, retouch notes and lighting direction.

Custom Typography

A skill I'm getting into! I've done titles for film and music videos as well as various posters throughout my career.

What's next

After 4 years in-house, I'm taking the leap into freelance work. I hope to collaborate with people who love design as much as I do, in whichever industry that may be. Something I love about design is that you get to dip your toe in a hundred different realms at once.

I hope to work on more branding projects and continue learning UX principles as brands become increasingly digital. Further down the track, I plan to release my own display typeface. Stay tuned!
